‘What do you mean by that?’ said the Caterpillar sternly. ‘Explain yourself!’ , I’m afraid, sir’ said Alice, ‘because I’m not myself, you see.’

‘Who are when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.’

‘But then,’ thought Alice, ‘shall I !’

‘Come, there’s no use in crying like that!’ said Alice to herself, rather sharply; ‘I advise you to leave off this minute!’ She generally gave herself very good advice, (though she very seldom followed it)

‘But it’s no use now,’ thought poor Alice, ‘to pretend to be two people! Why, there’s hardly enough of me left to make respectable person!’
